Self-priming peripheral pump, 1/2 HP (127V/220V), for residential water supply, pressurization and small irrigation
The Atlantis Self-Priming Peripheral Pump PKSm60 is a surface motor pump designed to transfer and pressurize clean water, free of solid particles, in residential and small-scale applications.
Its self-priming system removes air from the piping, preventing the pump from locking up or losing performance when air enters the line — making priming easier and ensuring stable, continuous operation.
With a peripheral bronze impeller and a cast iron body, it delivers strong pressure to fill and empty reservoirs, supply homes and small buildings, pressurize showers and faucets, and serve small irrigation systems. Compact and durable, it combines performance and reliability in everyday use.

Follow the guidelines below as a general reference.
Before installation, make sure the pump is properly grounded according to electrical safety standards.
Install the pump in the correct position, above water level, in a dry, ventilated and rain-protected location. Do not lay it horizontally in water or submerge it — it is a surface pump.
Connect the 1" suction piping with a check valve (foot valve) at the inlet.
Connect the 1" discharge piping at the outlet, using properly sealed fittings.
Install a circuit breaker rated for the motor current and protect the circuit with an RCD, per the electrical code.

Common questions about specification, installation, and use.
A self-priming peripheral pump is a surface motor pump that combines a peripheral impeller — generating high pressure with moderate flow — with a self-priming system that removes air from the piping. This prevents the pump from locking up or losing performance when air enters the line, making priming easier. It works above water, ideal for supplying homes, pressurizing water and lifting it over longer distances.
The PKSm60 has 1/2 HP (370W), with flow up to 1,900 L/h and 25 m head — ideal for homes and apartments. The PKSm80 has 1 HP (750W), with higher flow and head — suited for larger homes and more demanding pressurization systems. The PKSm60 is available in 127V and 220V; both feature the self-priming system.
The check valve (foot valve), installed on the suction line, prevents water from flowing back to the reservoir when the pump is turned off. This keeps the pipe primed and lets the pump start correctly. Even though the self-priming system makes priming easier, a check valve is recommended for more stable operation and to avoid dry running.
The PKSm60 is designed for clean water, free of solid particles, at ambient temperature. It is not recommended for hot water, corrosive or flammable liquids, or water with a high solid content. For those applications, consult our technical team for the right product.
The PKSm60 comes in two versions: 127V and 220V. Check your mains voltage before purchase and installation and choose the matching version. Always install with proper grounding and an RCD-protected breaker, per the electrical code.
